CHAPTER I ♱ REBIRTH

I created My Ruin in 1999 after the self-imposed death of Tura Satana. The band formerly known as Manhole. My Ruin was my blasphemous new beginning, but I must confess, what was meant to be a solo project quickly turned into a band because of one man. He came into my life like a fire, illuminating my path and helping me to heal from my past. Love has a redemptive power to transform individuals, rearrange your heart and restore your faith. "Speak and Destroy", "A Prayer Under Pressure of Violent Anguish", "To Britain with Love and Bruises" allowed me to reinvent myself as an artist and introduced me to my musical partner and future husband.

The songs we have included from these first 3 albums set the tone for this collection. A reminder of who we were in those early years of fiery transformation and seduction. We were falling in love while fighting our demons and it felt like heaven to be screaming.
