My Ruin recorded our cover of "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell for our album "Speak & Destroy" in 1999. I actually recorded this song with 3 producers in the U.K. called Bushaq a year before I met Mick.
I chose this song without much though behind it on the way to the studio one morning. The "Soft Cell" version from 1981 happened to come on the radio and it just spoke to me in the moment with the lyrics relating to something I was going through in my personal life.
